1855 townhouse with long history as
exclusive shop; important streetscape remnants.

Le Louvre - appears little
alterations planned (was to be facaded, interior and rear wing
destroyed) but still has little heritage protection (D graded in
1984, rejected by Heritage Victoria 2010).
Tower plans also changing (September 2010), but still whole streetscape to be dominated by 40+ tower on legs set forward of all other towers.
As of February 2011 the design changed somewhat. Glassy tower front now setback 6 metres from Collins Street and tower lower. Le Louvre retention now includes front portion not just façade, but rear alterations still envisaged.
